There is a rotating cage that is placed adjacent to the support which provides maximum stability. The skein always remains at the center due to the winder's unique design and the winding handle makes it easy to convert balls of yarn into skeins. It has 14-inch spokes that can handle up to 60-inch skeins and a removable center support that enables easy disassembly and simplifies repairs.
