KATHY Naumann

Kathy Naumann teaches a variety of classes at Michigan Fine Yarns. Originally from New York, she moved to Novi, Michigan in 2012. Her first experience with wool and needles wasn’t until her 30s when she passed by a local yarn shop window and saw a pair of knit socks. She asked for lessons to knit a pair and that’s where her love of knitting and fiber was born. Within two years she began teaching at the same lys until it closed its doors.

Kathy brings a giant level of enthusiasm and motivation to her classes helping to build the confidence level of all students she comes in contact with. Kathy teaches four continuing education classes each week, as well as weekend workshops and small group beginner classes. When she’s not in the shop she enjoys time with her husband Gary and dog Bailey, visits with her three daughters and their families, and traveling to interesting places around the world.
