Make a special family heirloom with us as we enter the world of designer Julie Williams' Little Cotton Rabbits where whether you call them "stuffies" or "plushies" the options for stuffed animals you can knit abound. All animal options are supported in this workshop, including the badger, bear, bunny, cat, deer, elephant, fox, koala, lamb, lion, mole, monkey, mouse, pig, and ram. And what stuffed animal would be complete without its wardrobe?? 

In this 90-minute workshop, we'll confirm you understand the basic shaping of your chosen animal, and show you the techniques needed for finishing your animals, including seaming, stuffing, duplicate stitching, and introductory embroidery tips necessary for the unique facial features. The more intermediate knitter may come with your animal pieces already knit up and we'll help you bring them together, or a more novice can come prepared to create a small swatch and confirm how to create the necessary pattern increases/decreases - we're flexible and can meet you where time has allowed you to get. Our goal is to have you leave with the confidence to tackle your project, and if you need additional project support, you can always come back again for Quick Help or in a Bring Your Own Project class.

Recommended yarns include Cascade 220, Cascade 220 Superwash, Lettlopi, Malabrigo Worsted, and Cascade Ultra Pima for the DK projects.. Consult your pattern for recommended needles and notions. (Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own needles/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.)
