Gain confidence in sweater knitting by taking the process step-by-step with MFY's My First Years Basic Sweater! Conquer your fear of making a sweater by knitting a basic baby sweater with us during BYOP class times convenient for your schedule! During the Sweater Yoke Workshop we'll walk you through the creation of a top-down, seamless sweater worked in the round from casting on the collar, through gaining confidence in increasing your stitches needed to complete the yoke.

Prerequisites: Knit, purl, knitting in the round
- Yarn + Class Materials: My First Years Basic Sweater Pattern, worsted weight yarn, US 5 and 7 16" circular needles, US 5 and 7 6" DPN needles (or preferred needle for small circumference knitting). Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own needles/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.
- Nice to Haves: Those Stitch Holders, Cable Toggles
- Homework: Using US 5 16" circular needles, cast on 66 sts, pm to join in the round, then continue in stockinette st for 1" (~8 rounds). Change to larger needles and continue to work in stockinette st. for 2 rounds.
