In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll learn essential scarf-making skills including working increases, weighing your yarn to maximize usage, and creating integrated i-cord edges for a polished finish. You’ll also get the chance to experience knitting with a luxury yarn—only one ball is needed to make this elegant accessory. You’ll leave with the skills to confidently continue your scarf at home, and if you’d like more support, you’re always welcome to join one of our Quick Help or Bring Your Own Project Knitting classes throughout the week!

• Yarn + Class Materials:

  The Sophie Scarf is designed in a soft cashmere, but you can choose any light fingering, sport, or DK weight yarn to make it your own. This is the perfect project to treat yourself with a luxury yarn - just a single skein can elevate your finished scarf into a true wardrobe favorite. You’ll need about 25–35 g of yarn depending on the size you make. We recommend using a 24” circular needle in US 4 (3.5 mm). Stop by the store ahead of your workshop and we’ll help you choose the perfect yarn and needles. The Sophie Scarf pattern is available for purchase on Ravelry; please bring a printout or add it to your Ravelry library before class. Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own notions, we ask that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.
