Project
Syyslaulu Shawl (by Heidi Alander) - Knit Along
$60
Online via Zoom
Time: Sundays at 3pm and Wednesdays at 7pm
Description: Shawls are a great way to gain comfort with a new technique, and liven up those Zoom meeting wardrobes! The Syyslaulu Shawl starts with garter stitch, which is perfect for relaxing, and finishes with some simple lace.
Yarn + Class Materials: We’ve designed this course to highlight our own Bibi yarn hand dyed at Michigan Fine Yarns by Swaran, but we have several other options in store, and carry the Tosh Merino Light that was used in the original pattern. Choose two skeins of the same yarn, or choose two separate colors and we’ll show you how to fade from color to color. Size 7 circular needles and stitch markers will also be used. Scrap yarn of lighter weight and darning needles are also recommended for project “lifelines” and finishing.
Make sure to get the pattern on Ravelry:
Prerequisites: You should be comfortable with your knits and purls, and know how to read if your stitch is a knit or purl. This is an ideal project for the knitter who is ready to level-up their skills by learning some straightforward increases and decreases to venture into lace.
Cost: $60 for 4 Class Bundle
