Our 1st June Workshop Wednesday is Leveling Up with Color! Whether you're inspired by the spring blooms, or just looking for a new tool for your knitting arsenal, learning to work with colors will open up your knitting universe. In this workshop we'll explore stranded colorwork used in methods like Fair Isle knitting. Learn how to work with multiple colors in your project as we create designer Jennifer Berg's Shik'is (my friend in Navajo) Hat. Feel free to bring that pattern with colorwork that you've been eyeing and you'll leave with the confidence to tackle it!
Yarn + Class Materials: Approximately 210 yds each of three contrasting worsted weight yarns.
Prerequisites: This class is appropriate for all levels, but at a minimum you must be familiar with casting on, knit and purl stitches, and knitting in the round; basic chart reading skills helpful but not required.*

Tricia teaches several courses at Michigan Fine Yarns, and also curates many of our online and special events. As a professor, Tricia has been instructing students for more than twenty years. At Michigan Fine Yarns, she combines that in-person and online instructional experience with her passion for yarn and knitting, which she’s been using as her mindfulness practice since grad school. Her favorite projects are ones that teach a new skill, or introduce a new “must have” knitting notion for that occasional retail therapy. Find her in store or online, and she’ll help you show off your knits so others can see the joy and peace they bring you!
