The Chevron Delight Shawl is a lightweight, half-circle shawl that combines delicate - but straightforward - chevron lace with the halo of gorgeous mohair. The alternating bands of lacy eyelets and cozy mohair give the piece a soft and luxurious feel. Designed using fingering weight Ultimate Sock - a 75% Superwash Merino Wool, 25% sturdy nylon blend - and lace weight Mohair - a 72% mohair, 28% silk blend - the fabric created is nothing shy of heavenly. The final measurements are roughly 70" x 30" after blocking and dependent on your personal gauge.

 

This is a great project for intermediate knitters, but beginners should not be deterred! It is a wonderful opportunity to learn lace and experiment with mohair on an accessory, and we have tutorials to help you along the way! It also uses larger needles for the more open fabric which means it will work up more quickly and should be less intimidating!

Materials:

We have a great selection of Ultimate Sock in stock from tonals to speckles to variegated colorways! This includes Aniversario which is shown in the pattern photos!

 

 

 

 

In addition to your yarn, you will need US 5 (3.75mm), US 6 (4.0mm) and US 9 (5.5mm) knitting needles (or sizes needed to obtain gauge), stitch markers, and a tapestry needle.
