Lehigh Shawl KAL: September 2024
Welcome to the Malabrigo Rios Lehigh Shawl Knit Along (KAL)!
The Lehigh shawl is a lovely triangle shaped field of texture accented by thin contrasting stripes that add a pop of color and create a modern brick-like design across the piece.

Pattern
The pattern has been sent out to all registered participants, but if you aren't registered, you can get the pattern on Ravelry.
Modification Suggestion:
For a smaller version of the shawl, the Malabrigo team recommends the following:
Follow the pattern as written until you've completed the third repeat. Then work the 16 rows with Color A. Repeat Row 1 with Color A before changing to Color B. With Color B, work Row 1: k1, yo, kfb, k to last 2 sts, kfb, drop the yo, k1. Repeat this row once. Knit the bind off row as written.
Materials
Our team has curated gorgeous kits in colorways they love in addition to the original colors shown in the KAL promotions of Grain and Sagittarius.
While we may be partial to our own colorways, we have a wide selection of Rios to choose from if you'd like to select a unique color palette suited for you!
In addition to your yarn you will need a US size 7 (4.5mm) circular needle with 40" cord to accommodate stitches and a tapestry needle for weaving in ends. Gauge is not critical with a shawl, but if you are looking to have a similar size wrap to the pattern, please note that you may need a different size needle to obtain the stated gauge.
Schedule
The Lehigh KAL will begin Monday, September 2nd and run through Monday, September 30th.
