Stash Dive with MFY: Mitchell Wool Co.

Welcome to Stash Dive with MFY where we take a deeper look at the brands we carry and the hearts behind them.

Farm Life

Mitchell Wool Co. is the epitome of the American family farm. Sheep are born and raised on a farm where they are fed hay and grain grown by neighboring farmers. The sheep stroll and graze in fields where plants and flowers are harvested to dye the wool they provide.

Meet the Hooman Flock

This is but a small summary of the lovely folks that help create magic at Mitchell Wool Co. We highly recommend clicking over to their website to read more about the team!

Paul, Sherry and Luke of Mitchell Wool Co.

Paul and Sherry founded Mitchell Wool Co. together, but Paul lost his battle with cancer in 2021 and watches over the flock in spirit. Their oldest son, Luke, now manages the farm logistics and is apparently the lifter of all heavy things. Paul and Sherry's youngest child, Declan, is a farmer in training, but his future farm will be crops only! Sherry's sister, Cindy probably packed your order - and dyed it too! Her husband, Jack, is the resident farmer and fixer.

Non-family family include Ann Marie who does a bit of everything, but chances are you will most appreciate her skein winding! Bekah is the wizard who sews Sherry's Sweater Bags among many other things. Francesco handles the numbers to keep the sheep happy and business afloat. And then there is Jessica who taught Sherry to knit and as they say...probably started the whole thing!

Learn more about Mitchell Wool Co. on their website, and follow them on Instagram for adorable photos of sheep and behind the scenes activities from the farm!
