This is my first time going for Cascade 220 - first time with brioche stitch, too. I am usually sucked in by how soft and pretty the single strand, lightly spun yarn is so this yarn was outside of my normal wheelhouse, but I feel good about the durability of Cascade 220. Made a hat as a holiday gift and it turned out great - super soft and very warm.

Cascade 220 is machine washable, knits up well and comes in lots of colors. It works well for toddler things that seem to need to be machine washed all the time. The colors worked out well the hat matches his coat nicely.

I was in town visiting family and stopped in to MFY. The store is AMAZING! So much beautiful yarn to choose from. I bought the Cascade 220 Superwash yarn in Westpoint Blue Heather for a baby sweater. I highly recommend Michigan Fine Yarns. On a recent order, the wrong yarn weight was shipped. I notified them of the error and they immediately shipped the replacement at no additional charge. Along with the yarn, they simplified the return process by including an envelope with an attached shipping label. Their customer service is outstanding. If this happened with any other dealer, they would require payment of the replacement yarn and expect you to wait until they receive the return to receive credit. They trust their customers and for this reason, they deserve your business.

I ordered this yarn because it was advertised as a worsted weight yarn. I consider worsted weight to be #4. What I received was a yarn the was labeled #3 light. It does say 220 Superwash 100% Superwash Wool, but this should not be labeled as a worsted weight yarn. I have to double the yarn to make it close to a worsted weight yarn and obtain the correct gauge for the sweater I am knitting. The weight of this yarn is more thin sport weight than worsted weight. I am fine with ordering more balls of yarn as it is lovely yarn, but just want others to realize that if you expecting to receive a true worsted weight yarn, this one is not. Plan on buying double the yarn for your pattern or select another yarn that is really a worsted weight yarn.
