The photo on the website did not match the yarn. I noticed that a lot of the yarn listed doesn’t have a full photo of the skein, making it difficult to see the full coloration. I was happy with quality of the yarn and I did keep it, but I was expecting something quite different.

I just reviewed the black Silky Merino, so my review remains the same. I love the Silky Merino yarn in all the colors except black. Michigan Fine Yarns was awesome and I will be ordering from them again!

Michigan Fine Yarns did a fantastic job with this order. However, while I loved the feel of the Silky Merino, the black bled color profusely as I worked with it. I ordered some more and tried to rinse it myself before working with it and the texture is off. This is a Malabrigo issue, not Michigan Fine Yarns, and I will definitely be a repeat customer of MFY! I LOVED the Tealfeather colorway in the Silky Merino.

So disappointed in the color of this yarn. It doesn’t look anything like what was shown on the website but is more of an ugly rust/merlot color with none of the pretty rosey pinky color that was shown. I am sending the rest of it back.

Loved this yarn! Soft, lustrous, beautiful stitch definition. No issues with splitting or breakage. Malabrigo yarns never fail to please! Used one skein for a pair of fingerless gloves

Familiar with the yarn. The dye lots in my order did not match. One was blackish and one is olive green. Big color disparity. Will have to make sure that when ordering, specify that in hand dyed, and not get same dye lot. To be fair , this is not the first time this has happened. It happened to me with another store on the same yarn and color.

Malabrigo Silky Merino is one of my favorite yarn. It is a pleasure to knit with it. I made swatch and it is blooms after blocking: becomes more silky with more drape to it. Doesnt shrink and doesnt stretch keeping almost original size. Love that yarn!

This yarn is so soft and warm and the color is vibrant. It was a joy to knit with. The shawl I made with it had a slight halo from the merino and a lovely drape and slight sheen from the silk. It was light but kept me warm. The stitch definition wasn’t as good as described but that wasn’t an issue with the pattern I chose.
