Many knitters and crocheters enjoy making projects for charity. Don't wait to get invloved with charity knitting! Whether you prefer making hats for infants or shawls for hospice, we have pattern suggestions as well as some national organizations who accept donations.

If you'd like to make sure your donation helps in the local community, asking local hospitals, cancer care centers, hospices, and programs that work with the homeless are all great places to start.

Supports cancer patients and their families by making, collecting, and donating comfort items to those in our community.

Make: Handmade chemo caps and lap blankets

Connects volunteer knitters and crocheters with breast cancer survivors through special handmade prosthesis for women who have undergone mastectomies or other breast procedures.

Make: Provides patterns for special handmade prosthesis for breast cancer survivors

Provides handknit mittens and gloves to children, teens, and adults in Detroit, Michigan and nearby underserved cities.

Make: Handmade and unused gloves and mittens

Provides handknit and crocheted little octopuses and jellyfish to comfort babies in neonatal intensive care units.

Make: Patterns provided by the group for handmade octopuses and jellyfish. Only accepts items made with 100% cotton yarn
