Ready to take your beginner knitting skills to the next level? In this 90-minute workshop, you’ll build on your basic knit and purl skills while learning to make a cozy pair of World’s Simplest Mittens.

This class uses the World’s Simplest Mittens pattern by Tin Can Knits, a well-loved knitwear design duo known for their clear instructions, thoughtful sizing, and beginner-friendly patterns. Their designs are trusted by knitters around the world and are especially great for learning new techniques with confidence.

This workshop is a great next step for beginners who want to gain confidence with small, in-the-round projects, perfect for travel knitting and quick wins! Plus, this pattern by Tin Can Knits is size inclusive and can be worked with a wide range of yarns, making it adaptable for toddlers through adult sizes.

In this 1.5 hour workshop we’ll go over basic mitten construction and knitting in the round on a small circumference. Our goal is for you to leave feeling confident tackling mittens on your own. And if you you'd like extra support, we're always here to help with Quick Help sessions or a Bring Your Own Project class!

• Yarn + Class Materials: Please download the pattern via Tin Can Knits' website or through Ravelry prior to class and gather materials as appropriate.
  (Note: While you’re encouraged to bring your own needles/notions, we request that yarn used in classes be purchased at MFY.) 
  If this is your first set of mittens, we recommend you start with a washable worsted weight yarn such as Cascade 220 Superwash or Malabrigo Rios and appropriately sized double pointed needles (DPNs)
