Inspired by the creativity and texture of Toni Lipsey’s Olivia Shawl from our MFY x TL Yarn Crafts collaboration, the Elliot Shawl was born as its knitted counterpart, a chance for our knitters to join in the fun! Designed by Tricia Miranda-Hartsuff of Michigan Fine Yarns, this boomerang-shaped shawl blends approachable construction with soothing repetition, making it a joy for both beginners and seasoned makers.
Whether you’re learning to knit or simply craving a meditative project, Elliot’s textured fabric and flowing shape make it a timeless, wearable piece. It’s the perfect pattern to relax with, experiment with color, and create a shawl that feels both modern and meaningful.

This listing is for a two versions: a printed booklet + digital pattern (available for download after checkout), or just the digital pattern (select preferred option from the pulldown menu).
Additional recommended materials:
- US 3 (3.25mm) circular length 32" or size needed to obtain gauge;
- Darning/tapestry needle to weave in your ends;
- Blocking materials: We have these Mindful Blocking Mats and coordinating Mindful Knit Blockers or package of T-Pins to secure your garment shaping
- Removable stich marker;
- Scissors
