Koigu Winnie is an ultra-soft sport weight yarn spun from 100% extra fine merino wool (17 micron), thoughtfully designed for lightweight garments that require both comfort and durability. Worsted-spun with a high-twist construction, Winnie offers smooth texture, natural elasticity, and excellent stitch definition, making it especially well suited for baby knits, hats, cowls, shawls, and lightweight sweaters meant to be worn directly against the skin.
Milled and hand-dyed in Canada by Koigu, Winnie is available in generous 100 g skeins dyed in Koigu’s signature semi-solid colors. With a versatile gauge of 23-26 stitches per 4 inches, this sport-weight merino performs beautifully in year-round projects, from delicate accessories to full garments, offering breathability, drape, and long-lasting wear without sacrificing softness.
