Choose your own colorwork adventure! The Koigu Heritage Sweater kits are a celebration of artistry, tradition, and bold colorwork. originally designed in the 1980s and 1990, these iconic designs of Koigu’s co-founder, Maie Landra, honor the patterns and motifs of Estonian knitting. From construction techniques to colorwork creativity, each kit is an invitation to explore Koigu’s rich heritage while stitching something beautiful, unique, and lasting.
With 10 charted sweater designs to choose from, select one of three curated color palettes and pick your size range: XS–XL or 2XL–5XL. Your kit will include enough yarn for all sizes within the range selected. Whether you gravitate toward bold palettes or subtle combinations, kits are available in multiple colorways and include a range of Koigu yarn bases. Please make sure you select your desired size range from the drop-down menu!
Yarn Bases Featured in the Kits:
- Corriedale/Gotland (DK / Light Worsted weight): Used in Garland, Autumn Harvest, and Squares & Diamonds
- Jasmine (DK weight 100% Merino Wool): Used in Signs of Summer, Winter Enchantment, and Koigu Sheep
- Cheers (Light Worsted weight Merino/Lincoln Wool): Used in Visions of Spring and Mystique
- Chelsea (Aran weight 100% Merino Wool): Used in Medallion and Snowflake
Each kit includes:
- Enough Koigu yarn to complete your selected sweater size range (XS–XL or 2XL–5XL)
- A printed pattern and a QR code to access the digital version
- A KAL info sheet with QR codes for instructional videos and Zoom check-ins
- All materials packaged in a clear, reusable zippered project bag
