Summer MAL-apalooza!
MFY is celebrating ALL the make alongs happening this summer! Join us for a season of community while we knit and crochet with other makers around the world. Choose one, make them all - there are no rules! We are just excited to spend the summer making with our MFY Family and beyond!
Below, we've shared some of the make alongs we are aware of, as well as some of the projects we've been eyeing for the summer season. If there is a project you're excited about - let us know! And don't forget to join our private MFY Make Along Facebook group where you can chat, ask questions, share photos and cheer one another on as we make this the Summer of Making!
Tulsa Tank & Lakewood Tee Knit Along
Blue Sky Fibers is hosting seasonal knit alongs this year, and their summer projects are the Tulsa Tank and Lakewood Tee. These were both designed in the super soft Printed Organic Cotton which make them perfect for warm weather making and wearing!
Official KAL dates are June 1 - August 31.
We have kits prepared for the Tulsa Tank and Printed Organic Cotton as well as solid color options in Organic Cotton Worsted for either the tank or the Lakewood Tee.

Buggiflooer Beanie Knit Along
The official KAL of Shetland Wool Week 2023! We have five kits prepared in a variety of colors inspired by the original design by Alison Rendall, but the pattern works for anywhere from 2 to 6 colors so you can easily create your own unique colorway with our wide selection of Jamieson's of Shetland Spindrift. Berroco's Summer Tee Party Make Along
The Berroco Summer Tee Party is the perfect reason to cast on that short sleeved sweater you've been eyeing! The idea of the make a long is to crochet or knit any tee pattern using any Berroco yarn. We've suggested just a few of the MANY fantastic tee pattern options available below.
Official MAL dates are July 1 - August 31.

Berroco has a Facebook Makers Group as well as a Ravelry Makers Group where you can connect with other crafters working on their tees. They are also using the hashtags #SummerTeeParty23 and #BerrocoYarn on social media if you want to be a part of the larger conversation.
Textured Tiles Sweater Knit Along
The Textured Tiles Sweater pattern designed by Georgia Farrell has two color options for you to select from! There is the two-color design that is bold and striking, and then there is the six color option that has so much depth and personality!
Official KAL dates are May 16 - July 6.
We have lots of Rowan Felted Tweed to create your perfect color combination for either sweater design! It would look great with high contrast selections or more tone-on-tone picks. We can't wait to see what you pick!

Summer of Socks KAL
Join our soon-to-be local friend, Megan Gonzalez of Nurture Knitwear for a Summer of Socks KAL with a Lord of the Rings twist! With three patterns to choose from - a beginner friendly texture, a lace and a cable - you can knit one, two or all three to participate! Did we mention there are prizes with LOTS of ways to earn entries?!?

Ambah O'Brien's Supernova MKAL
For the mystery lovers among us, designer Ambah O'Brien is releasing her 2023 Solstice pattern as a mystery knit along starting June 21st with remaining installments coming out weekly over the following four weeks.
Official KAL dates are June 21 - August 14.
Our friends at Koigu have curated some gorgeous celestial-inspired colorways that you'll definitely want to check out! Available details on the pattern, yarn requirements and notions needed can be found on Ravelry. A discussion group has already started on Ravelry as well so you can interact with other makers working on the project as well!
