Textured Tiles Sweater KAL: Summer 2023
The Textured Tiles Sweater is a stunning boxy shaped sweater, featuring knitted squares with diagonal traveling cables and striking embroidered embellishments. The modular nature of the design makes this an interesting and addictive knit, always encouraging you to knit just one more square! An engaging and enjoyable project for knitters of all levels, this is a wonderful summer project that will leave you with a beautiful new sweater for fall!
The Textured Tiles Sweater is knit in Rowan's Felted Tweed and designer Georgia Farrell has created two different looks to choose from. One is knitted using two shades of Felted Tweed, while the second option features six shades. Georgia has recommended some colorways, but feel free to swap colors in and out and create your own color story.
Yarn & Tools
For the two-colored version of the sweater, you will need 6-11 balls of your main color and 3-6 balls of your contrast color. (Varies depending on size selected.)
Colors shown in the two-color version on the model are Astor 217 and Zinnia 198.
For the six-colored version of the sweater, you will need 4-6 balls of your main color, 2-3 balls each of contrast colors B and C, 2 balls each of contrast colors D and E, and 1-2 balls of contrast color F. (Varies depending on size selected.)
Colors shown in the six-color version on the model are Ancient 172, Granite 191, Zinnia 198, Carbon 159, Eden 209 and Black 211.
In addition to your yarn, you will need a US 6 (4mm) size knitting needles (or size needed to obtain gauge), US 6 (4mm) double pointed needles, and a tapestry needle. You could also use circular knitting needles if you are more comfortable with those!
Pattern

Georgia Farrell is best known for creating architecturally inspired design for hand knitting. With a background in textiles, Georgia translates her passion for architectural details into textured knitted fabrics. For this latest Make Along, Georgia has chosen the palette of Felted Tweed to bring her beautiful Textured Tiles Sweater to life.
Georgia is based in Essex, to the east of London in the UK, and works out of her design studio on the Hylands Estate in Chelmsford.
