Livonia Shawl KAL: Winter 2022

Welcome to the Blue Sky Fibers Livonia Shawl Knit Along (KAL)!

Welcome to the Blue Sky Fibers Livonia Shawl Knit Along (KAL)! The Livonia Shawl is packed full of beautiful cables and is ideal for cool weather. The pattern is knit on the bias by creating bands of cables and garter stitch, making it both interesting to knit and eye-catching to wear. Designed in soft and luxurious Skyland - a blend of 40% Fine Highland Wool, 30% Baby Alpaca and 30% Silk - the project calls for five skeins in a single colorway. The finished shawl is approximately 34" by 52 1/2" by 62" after blocking.

We have kits available in 10 different colors of Skyland, as well as a wide selection of Woolstok if you'd like something woolier!

In addition to your yarn, you will need a US 7 size circular knitting needles (or size needed to obtain gauge) with at least a 30" cable, stitch markers are optional but helpful and a tapestry needle.

This is a great project for intermediate knitters, but beginners should not be deterred! There are not many techniques introduced in this pattern and are all easy to learn. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to cable with confidence, and we have tutorials to help you along the way!

The pattern is available on the Blue Sky Fibers website and Ravelry. The event will run from February 14th through March 31st.
