In April 2021, Swaran debuted her Made for You Cowl in her own hand-dyed Bibi Yarn. It inspired the creation of our Made for You Hat (and other designs under tech edit and coming soon!). That inspiration continued as our friends at Blue Sky Fibers introduced new colorways of their Woolstok Mini Bundles. You could say that we were smitten from our place in the mitten - Livonia, Michigan - the inspiration for Blue Sky Fiber's 2022 Livonia Shawl KAL!

Our mutual inspiration created a space for our Blue Sky Fibers x Michigan Fine Yarns collaboration with our updated Made For You in Woolstok Hat, designed by our own MFY team member Tricia (@AcademicHobbyist). We've created exclusive kits in four colorways: Lilac Bloom + Bramble & Fig; While Thyme + Cool; Cast Iron + Holiday Cheer; and Dark Chocolate + Neutral, but you can also grab the pattern, Woolstok 50g and Woolstok Mini Bundle or combination of 5g Mini Hanks to find the perfect combination that's Made For YOU.

In addition to your yarn, you will need 16" US 5 circular knitting needles (or size needed to obtain gauge), 16" US 7 circular knitting needles (or size needed to obtain gauge), US 7 double pointed needles, stitch markers, waste yarn, a tapestry needle and your preferred needles for picking up a provisional cast on.

This is a great project for intermediate knitters, but beginners should not be deterred! There are only a few techniques introduced in this pattern and are all easy to learn. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to do a provisional cast on, and we have tutorials to help you along the way!
